middle school

levels.

Plan and deliver instruction

aligned with student IEP goals, focusing on developmental, functional academic, and life skills.

Create and maintain a

structured, supportive, and positive classroom environment

that promotes student engagement, independence, and safety.

Develop, implement, and review

Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other staff to deliver coordinated and effective support services.

Utilize appropriate

behavioral and instructional strategies

tailored to each students needs.

Communicate regularly with families and caregivers regarding student progress, goals, and classroom activities.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including IEP paperwork, data collection, and progress reports.

Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

Valid

OregonSpecial Education Teaching Certification

(required)

Bachelor's or Masters degree in Special Education or related field

Experience working with students in a

developmental or life skills classroom

is highly preferred

Strong understanding of

IEP development, compliance, and implementation

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to complete all required documentation and reporting independently

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed
