We're seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our remote education team, providing essential communication support for deaf and hard of hearing students in virtual classroom settings. Work 35-37.5 hours weekly interpreting for students across elementary through high school levels. You'll support approximately 20-30 students in various virtual learning environments, from individual sessions to full classroom instruction. Our interpreters work with diverse academic subjects and participate in the full spectrum of educational activities. Primary Duties Deliver high-quality ASL interpretation during live virtual classes Support standardized testing accommodations and assessments Participate in virtual IEP meetings and educational planning sessions Assist with peer interaction and social skill development Provide interpretation for extracurricular activities and events Maintain detailed records of services provided and student progress Coordinate with educational teams to ensure optimal student support Required Qualifications Current 3.5 EIPA score (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) 2+ years of experience in educational interpreting settings Demonstrated proficiency in ASL and English interpretation Experience with virtual learning platforms and digital tools Strong organizational and time management abilities Professional appearance and demeanor for video-based services Desired Qualifications 4.0 EIPA certification Written EIPA completion Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification Experience across multiple grade levels Familiarity with curriculum-specific terminology Home Office Requirements High-definition camera with adjustable positioning Professional lighting setup for clear visibility Quiet, controlled environment free from interruptions Reliable internet connection with backup options Current computer with updated software capabilities If interested, apply here or contact: Daniela Jimenez 470-516-6256
