Work remotely providing virtual sign language interpretation services to approximately 41-51 students spanning Pre-K through high school grades. Your 35-hour weekly schedule includes direct interpretation services, preparation time, and team collaboration activities. Our virtual platform features professional-grade video technology and communication tools designed specifically for educational interpretation. Core Job Functions

Conduct virtual sign language interpretation during individual and group academic instruction Provide interpretation services for online educational assessments and standardized testing procedures Support virtual IEP meetings, parent conferences, and educational planning sessions Interpret for virtual school performances, assemblies, and community engagement events Collaborate with school teams through digital communication and virtual meeting platforms Monitor student communication needs and provide consultation regarding visual access requirements Document interpretation services and participate in educational team discussions Engage in professional learning communities focused on virtual interpretation excellence and best practices Mandatory Credentials

Required: EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or above Minimum 24 months of educational sign language interpreting experience Proficiency with video platforms and virtual interpretation technology systems Professional home office meeting visual communication and privacy requirements American Sign Language fluency and understanding of deaf culture Background verification suitable for educational service provision Preferred: EIPA score of 4.0 or higher demonstrating advanced competency Written EIPA certification Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or National Interpreter Certification (NIC) Specialized training in educational interpreting and deaf student needs Service Demographics

Students present with diverse communication preferences, cultural backgrounds, and educational goals requiring flexible interpretation approaches.
