This remote interpretation role involves supporting 43-53 students across Pre-K through 12th grade with 36 weekly hours dedicated to interpretation services, collaborative planning, and documentation activities. Our advanced virtual platform ensures crystal-clear visual communication through professional-grade video technology optimized for educational sign language interpretation. Key Responsibilities

Deliver real-time sign language interpretation for virtual academic courses and educational content Support online special education evaluations, re-evaluations, and assessment procedures Provide interpretation during virtual parent advocacy meetings and educational rights discussions Interpret for virtual graduation ceremonies, award presentations, and milestone celebrations Collaborate with deaf education coordinators and accessibility specialists through digital platforms Maintain professional interpreting standards while adapting techniques for virtual environments Document interpretation services and contribute to student accessibility planning processes Participate in virtual training sessions focused on educational interpreting and deaf culture awareness Essential Requirements

Required: EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or above Minimum two years of interpreting experience in K-12 educational environments Advanced proficiency with video conferencing platforms and virtual interpretation technology Professional home workspace with high-definition camera equipment and stable internet connection Comprehensive understanding of American Sign Language grammar and deaf cultural norms Valid background screening suitable for educational service delivery Preferred: EIPA score of 4.0 or higher demonstrating exceptional interpreting skills Written EIPA certification Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or National Interpreter Certification (NIC) Professional development in educational interpreting and virtual service methodologies Student Community

Support deaf and hard of hearing students engaged in diverse academic programs including STEM courses, arts education, career preparation, and college readiness initiatives.
