Serve 36-46 students across various grade levels in a comprehensive 36.5-hour weekly remote position. Our virtual interpretation model provides access to cutting-edge video technology, collaborative platforms, and professional development opportunities that facilitate seamless integration with school-based teams while maintaining the highest standards of interpreting excellence. Primary Responsibilities
Deliver professional sign language interpretation services through secure, high-definition video platforms Provide interpretation for virtual academic classes, discussions, and educational presentations Support online testing accommodations and educational assessment procedures Interpret for virtual school meetings, conferences, and administrative communications Collaborate with deaf education specialists and general education teachers through digital systems Maintain accurate documentation of interpretation services and student interactions Provide consultation regarding deaf student communication needs and educational access Participate in virtual professional development and continuing education opportunities Essential Credentials
Required: EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 3.5 or higher Minimum two years of educational sign language interpreting experience Proficiency with video platforms and virtual interpretation technology Professional home office setup with high-definition video capabilities and reliable internet Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educational teams Background verification suitable for working with students in educational environments Preferred: EIPA score of 4.0 or above demonstrating advanced interpreting competency Written EIPA certification Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or National Interpreter Certification (NIC) Specialized training in educational interpreting and deaf culture Service Focus Areas
Students present diverse communication preferences and educational needs requiring flexible interpretation approaches.
