This remote position offers 35.5 hours weekly providing interpretation services for a manageable group of 40-50 students across diverse grade levels. You'll work within our comprehensive virtual interpretation ecosystem that includes high-definition video platforms, collaborative tools, and secure communication systems for seamless integration with educational teams. Core Functions

Provide individual and group virtual sign language interpretation during academic instruction Support online educational assessments, evaluations, and testing accommodations Interpret for virtual parent conferences, IEP meetings, and educational planning sessions Facilitate communication during virtual extracurricular activities and school events Collaborate with educational teams through digital communication platforms and virtual meetings Maintain professional interpreting standards and ethical guidelines in remote settings Document interpretation services and participate in student progress monitoring activities Engage in continuing education focused on virtual interpreting methodology and best practices Minimum Requirements

Required: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 minimum Two-year minimum of school-based sign language interpreting experience Technical proficiency with virtual interpretation platforms and video conferencing systems Dedicated home office space with reliable internet and professional video equipment Understanding of educational terminology, classroom dynamics, and student developmental needs Background clearance appropriate for educational service provision Preferred: EIPA score of 4.0 or above Written EIPA certification RID/NIC certification with written examination component Experience with culturally and linguistically diverse deaf student populations Service Population

Support deaf and hard of hearing students participating in mainstream academic programs, specialized classes, and school activities.
