This full-time virtual position involves serving 39-49 students across elementary and secondary grade levels with 37-hour weekly schedules. Our comprehensive virtual interpretation system includes specialized video platforms, collaborative tools, and professional support systems for seamless communication with school personnel and educational teams. Key Performance Areas

Provide direct virtual sign language interpretation services for assigned students during academic instruction Support virtual educational evaluations, assessments, and testing accommodation procedures Interpret for online parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, and educational planning sessions Facilitate communication during virtual school events, assemblies, and extracurricular activities Collaborate with educational teams regarding deaf student needs and communication access requirements Maintain comprehensive documentation of interpretation services and professional interactions Consult with teachers regarding classroom communication supports and visual access considerations Engage in continuous professional development in virtual interpreting methodologies and best practices Required Qualifications

Required: Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 minimum Two or more years of school-based sign language interpreting experience Demonstrated competency with virtual interpretation platforms and video technology Reliable technology infrastructure including high-definition video equipment and professional internet connection Excellent visual communication skills and proficiency in American Sign Language Understanding of educational environments, curriculum standards, and student developmental needs Preferred: EIPA score of 4.0 or higher Written EIPA certification demonstrating advanced interpreting skills RID/NIC certification with written examination component Continuing education in deaf education and interpreting ethics Student Population Overview
