Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. Utilize specialized teaching methods and assistive technologies to enhance communication and learning. Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, and audiologists to provide comprehensive support. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Foster an inclusive environment that promotes language development and social skills. Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and challenges. Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with an endorsement or specialization in Deaf Education or expertise in educating students who are Hard of Hearing. Experience working with K-12 Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in a school setting. Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or other relevant communication methods preferred. Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Ability to create engaging, accessible lessons tailored to diverse learning needs.
