Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients, whether they are visiting for routine health services or important health decisions. The PSR I is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, adhering to established procedures. This role involves direct patient contact, creating a trustful environment, and explaining procedures clearly while performing blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, focuses on process excellence, and maintains sensitivity to confidentiality and patient information accuracy.

Under the supervision of the area supervisor, the PSR I will:

  1. Perform daily activities accurately and timely.
  2. Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  3. Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices.
  4. Maintain required records and documentation.
  5. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Job Requirements:
  • Ability to deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Required Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience required; over 1 year preferred.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service sectors preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience required.
