Overview
2026 - Food Service Director – ROCKSTAR for SUMMER 2026 (Seasonal Relocation, not local).
WOLFoods operates summer camp kitchens across the country between May – September. This is a hands-on, demanding, lead-staff role in a fast-paced camp kitchen. All lead staff live on-site at the job location; room, board, and travel expense assistance are provided. The position requires living abroad on-site for the term of the contract and is not local.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent guest service in an efficient manner and lead the dining hall operation
Develop staff schedules and coordinate side work according to business levels and budgets
Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, appearance, and uniform standards in the Dining Hall
Be present on the floor during meal periods to monitor all dining hall operations
Collaborate with the chef on duty to maintain high standards of food presentation and sanitation
Train and develop FOH dining personnel; provide ongoing feedback on standards and performance
Communicate daily with Head Chef and Camp Directors about dining hall operations
Interact with diners for feedback and ensure dining hall is prepared ahead of service
Lead in planning, scheduling, directing, and training; manage payroll and special requests
Ensure compliance with Wolfoods standards and health department sanitation requirements
Control inventory, place orders, and manage supplies; supervise safety and food safety for special diets
Act as Front of House supervisor when necessary
Qualifications & Experience
4+ years of commercial kitchen experience in a lead role
Minimum three professional references required with application
ServSafe Manager Certification and ServSafe Allergens Certification (company-sponsored) before camp start
Ability to lead a team, self-motivate, and demonstrate high computer literacy
Ability to work 6 days per week, ~70 hours; must live on-site in a rural setting (shared living spaces possible)
Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate in varied temperatures
Experience with institutional and batch cooking; ability to cook from scratch
Strong communication skills with campers, staff, and parents; leadership and judgment to manage a high-volume operation
