2026 - Food Service Director - ROCKSTAR for SUMMER 2026 (Seasonal Relocation Job is not Local) at Wolfoods, Inc. Wolfoods operates summer camp kitchens across the country between May and September. This position is not local; you will be living on-site for the term of the employment agreement. All lead staff live on site at the job location with room, board, and travel expense assistance provided. This is a hands-on and demanding position requiring leadership, initiative, and the ability to execute the Wolfoods Camp Food Service Program with a focus on safety, sanitation, and high-quality service. Responsibilities
Provide excellent guest service in an efficient manner toward the goal of high diner satisfaction. Develop effective staff schedules based on business levels and budget guidelines. Coordinate all side work for personnel and maintain dining hall cleanliness and organization according to sanitation standards. Maintain appearance and uniform standards; be present on the dining floor during meal periods to monitor operations. Collaborate with the chef on duty to maintain high standards of food presentation and sanitation; train and develop all FOH dining personnel. Provide ongoing feedback to service personnel concerning standards and performance; communicate daily with Head Chef and Camp Directors. Interact with diners for feedback; ensure the dining hall is prepared 15 minutes prior to service and use checklists to facilitate daily operations. Follow Wolfoods initiatives for environmental practices to minimize waste and conserve resources. Be knowledgeable of all menus and specifications; maintain dining hall standards and safety practices to minimize risk. Manage all aspects of the food service operation to deliver high diner satisfaction, ensure camp standards, control budget, and train staff on service standards. Act as primary liaison between the camp and kitchen; attend relevant meetings and events; manage payroll; handle special requests; and address concerns from camp leadership. Demonstrate initiative, leadership, self-reliance, and sound judgment in daily operations. Communicate professionally with campers, staff, parents, and leadership; understand and apply Wolfoods Standards of Service Guidelines. Control inventory, place orders, and manage procurement; plan menus, prepare items, and ensure accurate timing, quantity, quality, and plating. Lead planning, scheduling, directing, and training; understand cross-utilization and use of excess production. Establish production estimates, par levels, and inventory; ensure kitchen and equipment meet health standards; enforce safety regulations. Teach and enforce safety regulations; participate in training and staff meetings; handle special diet preparations and allergy accommodations. Interact professionally with campers, staff, and parents; support in developing and tasting recipes; recommend equipment purchases as needed. May act as Front of House supervisor when necessary. Qualifications & Experience
4+ years of commercial kitchen experience in a lead role. Minimum three professional references required with application submission. Proficient in relevant skills; quality-driven with the ability to self-motivate. High level computer literacy; ability to uphold Health Department Standards. Ability to lead a team and take direction; willingness to relocate for the summer in a rustic setting. Physical requirements: able to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend/stretch/reach for extended periods. ServSafe Manager Certified; ServSafe Allergens Certification before the start of camp (company sponsored). Ability to work under temperature variations and cook from scratch; institutional and batch cooking experience is highly desired. Employment Package Includes
