As a
Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative II , you'll be the
first point of contact
for patients seeking diagnostic services. This role is responsible for
drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring patient comfort
while following all company, safety, and compliance guidelines. Successful candidates thrive in high-volume environments, demonstrate strong communication skills, and provide exceptional
patient care and accuracy .
Key Responsibilities
Perform
venipuncture and capillary collections
on pediatric and geriatric patients. Verify patient identity and accurately label specimens in patient presence. Maintain records, documentation, and compliance with SOPs. Ensure a professional and safe work environment in all assigned locations. Support multiple sites as needed with minimal notice. Provide
excellent customer service
to patients, clients, and medical staff. Adhere to safety, dress code, and company guiding principles. Required Experience
3 years of phlebotomy experience
required, inclusive of pediatric and geriatric collections. Minimum
2 years in a Patient Service Center environment
preferred. Customer service or retail/service background preferred. Strong computer and data entry skills required. Required Skills
Advanced phlebotomy techniques
across diverse patient populations. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Flexibility for weekends, holidays, and overtime shifts. Preferred Skills
Experience covering multiple sites as a floater. Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus. Familiarity with electronic health record systems. Licensure & Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA; not required in VA). Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Benefits
