As a Senior Manager in our Technology practice, you will interact with business stakeholders to evaluate and analyze business models, processes, and operations. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications and work with technical teams to design and deliver effective system architecture solutions. You will contribute to SAP Manufacturing engagements and help clients transform operations to improve cost, efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engagement delivery and manage client relationships on a daily basis. Oversee program/project management and ensure engagement economics are met. Develop resource plans and budgets for complex engagements. Lead large-scale SAP client engagements or work streams, ensuring alignment with client objectives. Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and strong business acumen; stay current with industry trends relevant to the client. Deliver high-quality client services by monitoring progress, managing risks, and keeping stakeholders informed. Build and maintain relationships with client personnel at all levels to foster collaboration and trust. Lead and motivate diverse teams, provide coaching, and foster an innovative, inclusive environment while mentoring junior consultants. Identify and generate new business opportunities by understanding EY’s service lines and proactively meeting client needs.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Understanding of SAP system capabilities; ability to architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, and documentation; translate needs into business solutions; configure/integrate SAP and non-SAP systems. Strong technical design skills, cost-benefit analysis, and business architecture frameworks. Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred. Typically 5–7 years of relevant experience. At least 5 years in SAP Production Planning (PP) within a functional consulting or configuration role. Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and technical writing skills. Experience managing SAP projects or work streams and oversight of project-based team members. Knowledge of supply chain best practices and advisory experience related to supply chain technology functions. Ability to research client inquiries and emerging issues including regulations and new technologies. Willingness to travel (40–60%). Experience in technology cost-benefit analyses and familiarity with technology business architecture. Experience in training design and delivery.

Ideal Qualities

Prior consulting industry experience. SAP certification(s). Experience as a workstream/team lead for manufacturing with SAP. Experience with at least two full lifecycle SAP ERP implementations (ECC and/or S/4HANA) focusing on Production Planning (PP). Experience with SAP MRP and MES integration; QM familiarity. Hands-on SAP PP configuration experience; ability to design RICEF solutions and write functional specifications. Experience writing/executing test scripts and training materials for end users. Knowledge of PP integration with FICO, EWM, PPDS, PLM, MDM, MM modules, and manufacturing data management. Knowledge of manufacturing operations, including complex industrial equipment and assembly line processes; understanding of Make to Stock and Make/Engineer/Configure to Order models.
