Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Kansas City, MO 64132 (Missouri nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Travel nurse contract
• Unit: Operating Room (OR) – 18 OR suites
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Schedule: Saturday and Sunday required; third day varies
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1800–$1840 per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: December 15, 2025
• Documentation System: Meditech EMR

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri or compact state)
• BLS certification (required for healthcare jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Clinical proficiency in trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, GYN, robotics (DaVinci and Mako), and cardiac cases
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work weekends and a flexible third day

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in a fast-paced OR environment
• Assist with trauma, orthopedic, neurosurgical, urology, GYN, and robotic surgeries
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care activities in Meditech EMR
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control protocols
• Demonstrate flexibility with weekend shifts and adapt to changing surgical schedules
