Overview
Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst - Remote role at CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer. CSAA IG is actively hiring for a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. This role supports financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, and contributes to ad hoc financial analysis projects to inform strategic decisions. The position reports to the Sr. Director FP&A & Ops Finance and collaborates with Reinsurance, Risk, Actuarial, Accounting, and senior leadership. Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Forecasting: Support the development and maintenance of financial models and forecasts; assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts; analyze variances between actual results and forecasts and provide insights and recommendations; actively drive the annual financial planning cycle. Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and stakeholders; develop and maintain KPIs and metrics; create executive-level presentations and dashboards to communicate financial insights; support month-end reporting processes. Ad Hoc Projects: Conduct special financial analysis projects as assigned by management; participate in FP&A process improvement initiatives. Required Experience, Education and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or equivalent education/experience. 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role. Experience with financial modeling and forecasting. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas). Proficiency in PowerPoint for presentation development. Desired Qualifications
Experience in insurance or reinsurance industry with related accounting principles. Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools. Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.). Progress toward professional certification (CPA, CFA, FP&A). Actuarial, pricing, or reserving experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail; ability to work with large datasets and identify trends; strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities; collaborative mindset and cross-functional teamwork.
