Media & Influencer Relations: Lead media efforts with relationships across key business, finance, or industry publications; craft pitches aligned with client goals; identify emerging media opportunities; develop influencer strategies (LinkedIn, podcasts, financial media). Client Service & Program Management: Lead tactical delivery of client programs (media relations, thought leadership, awards, speaking, content); manage day-to-day client communications and weekly PR calls; oversee projects from start to finish; develop quarterly PR plans and calendars; monitor industry news for proactive opportunities; help lead media training and allocate budgets/resources. Writing & Content Development: Write and edit content with a focus on financial, legal, or professional services nuance; produce press releases, pitches, executive commentary, contributed articles, blogs, abstracts, backgrounders, Q&As, and media briefing books; translate complex ideas into accessible narratives; maintain tone and brand alignment across content. Analytics & Integration: Lead client reporting using analytics tools; apply data to refine storytelling and optimize campaigns; collaborate across content, design, social, and strategy teams; support AI adoption to enhance research and efficiency. Mentorship & Collaboration: Coach junior staff, foster collaboration, and contribute to a culture of accountability and professionalism; lead by example with transparent communication. Agency Engagement & Operations: Support new business efforts with research and pitches; participate in industry events; share expertise via blogs or internal trainings; contribute to workflow improvements and best practices. Professional Growth & Self-Development: Set quarterly goals, prioritize tasks, own timelines, seek feedback, and continuously improve performance. What You Bring
3–5 years of PR/communications experience in an agency setting (required). Experience in financial services, insurtech, or other professional services industries (required). Strong media relationships across business, financial, and trade outlets. Ability to distill complex topics into engaging stories for diverse audiences; excellent writing and editing skills; confidence managing client relationships and internal teams; familiarity with analytics and reporting.
