Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

We have an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Director of Finance who possesses the drive, passion and knowledge to help take our firm to the next level, and keep our finances positioned for continued success. The Director of Finance will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company financial operations, helping us to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. This is an in-office or hybrid position in either Frankfort, IL or Northbrook, IL.
Responsibilities
Supports strategic initiatives and advises on financial implications
Oversees all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and internal controls
Working with firm practice software to pull reports necessary to calculate partner income allocations, calculate quarterly tax distributions, compute and track partner buy-ins and retirement payments for prep of firm tax returns
Oversee firm’s retirement plan, including annual accounting, tracking participant loans, maintain proper paperwork for employee contributions and distributions, and coordinate with plan administrator annual government filings and reporting to plan participants
Monitor business performance with tracking tools, analyze and present detailed financial statements, reports, and forecasts to the Executive Committee and partner group
Monitor and manage cash flow, financial activities, and making recommendations for change where needed
Develop, research and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to support the firm’s short-term and long-term goals
Research economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring financial data accuracy and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with other departments to support strategic initiatives and provide financial insights to drive firm performance
Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Required skills and qualifications
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Accounting or finance
Five or more years of experience in financial leadership role, possessing strong leadership skills and business acumen
Knowledgeable in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data
Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to successfully foster new and maintain long-standing business relationships
Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
Outstanding integrity and solid moral judgement
Expert problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
Preferred skills and qualifications
Certified Public Accountant
Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, or business accounting
Experience with professional services
