This role involves day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities where allowed by state and federal laws/regulations, ensuring efficient pharmacy workflow and a positive patient experience. The position requires supervision of pharmacy technicians, cashiers, and coordination with pharmacists. Responsibilities

Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist. Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy cashiers within authorized company policies, laws, regulations and business ethics. Lead the selection, scheduling, and development of pharmacy technician personnel; manage training, coaching, and performance; make decisions regarding discipline and termination. Engage customers and patients, greet them, assist with products and services, resolve complaints, and respond to non-clinical questions to ensure a positive customer experience. Develop relationships with customers by anticipating needs and offering services to enhance their experience with the pharmacy and healthcare services. Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law; assist with health services such as vaccines and health screenings where permitted. Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy; ensure on-time task completion and maintain efficient workflow. Prepare and file reports and records as required by the company and government agencies; manage daily pharmacy workflow and schedule; ensure adequate staffing and supplies. Ensure compliance and execution of business administrative activities and inventory management that do not require licensure; manage annual inventory preparation. Support recordkeeping, security safeguards, and proper operation of pharmacy department equipment; monitor for diversion and report concerns. Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policy during all applicable prescription-dispensing activities. Assist with insurance claim processing to resolve issues and participate in third-party audits; help analyze and improve pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service. Coordinate off-site immunization clinics and community events; build and sustain relationships with retail partnerships. People & Performance Management

Lead performance management of technicians, including discipline decisions when necessary; monitor attendance and timeliness; drive engagement and action planning to improve performance. Oversee technician hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling; ensure training completion and adherence to policies. Identify gaps in operational knowledge and support team members through training or learning modules. Ensure licensure, registrations, and certifications are active and compliant; leverage Walgreens resources for verification. Follow policies for selection, recruitment, record retention, and training as required by company policy and law. Training & Personal Development

Maintain PTCB certification and other required certifications; pursue ongoing professional development and follow performance improvement plans as offered by the Pharmacy Manager. Seek feedback and leverage mentorship for professional growth. Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico). One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting. Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) unless exempted by location. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations). Preferred Qualifications

Previous people management/leadership experience. Previous work experience with Walgreens with an Exceeding Expectation on last performance evaluation.
