Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. The position is responsible for profitable growth of the commercial business via customer retention and growth. The role partners with the GM to manage Team Members and requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts. It involves sourcing from various channels such as special orders, FDO, and second sources, and directing drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This is a full-time position. Primary Responsibilities
Maintain commercial customer relationships Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives Support daily supervision of Team Members Collaborate with GM on coaching and development of Team Members Dispatch drivers to meet delivery standards Maintain commercial stocking programs Build and maintain a network of second source suppliers Secondary Responsibilities
Maintain core bank and commercial returns Manage commercial credit accounts Partner with GM for driver coverage Success Factors
Friendly communication Ability to locate and stock parts Safety knowledge and skills Operating inventory and store equipment Parts and automotive system knowledge Operating POS and parts lookup systems ASE P2 certification or equivalent Solution and project recommendation skills Ability to source parts from multiple channels Advanced selling skills for commercial customers Multi-tasking and organizational skills Essential Job Skills
Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic skills Effective communication in English; Spanish a plus Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and catalogs Complete Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully Basic math skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong organizational skills Understanding of commercial profitability and market dynamics Flexibility to work days, evenings, and weekends Prior Experience
Minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred. Proven sales ability and team leadership experience are advantageous. Education
High school diploma or GED required. Certificates
ASE Certification preferred but not required. Physical Demands
Must be able to walk, stand, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Vision and dexterity requirements are specified. Work Environment
Primarily inside, with occasional outside work under various weather conditions. Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise is possible. Position is eligible for sales commissions based on performance. Compensation Range
$19.95 - $21.95 per hour. Benefits
