WSP , currently seeking a Senior Level Electrical Engineer to work with our Government Services Division. This is an engineering design role in the Government market including mission-critical infrastructure design such as power delivery, power generation, power distribution, backup power, UPS, system studies, renewable energy, MEP design, and related projects. Strong team leadership, mentoring, excellent communication and presentation skills, motivation, a positive attitude, and the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently are core requirements. The successful applicant will help develop a sustainable electrical department with staff at various experience levels and will interface with internal and external clients, driving projects to successful completion within budget and schedule constraints. Responsibilities

Create and issue construction drawings and specifications, studies, and reports. Demonstrate strong working knowledge of grounding, lightning protection, surge protection, lighting, protective relaying, prime and standby generation, low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage substations, and UPS systems. Apply NEC, NFPA standards, ICC standards, UFC documents, energy codes, and applicable IEEE standards. Model electrical systems and run power system studies using ETAP, PTW, or EasyPower (strongly preferred). Possess or obtain a Professional Engineer license in electrical engineering and maintain licensure as required. Lead and mentor junior staff; perform electrical engineering tasks including proposal development, design calculations, cost estimating, client reviews, and construction support. Coordinate with other discipline leads, PMs, and teams to manage Electrical efforts and support cross-disciplinary project coordination. Develop training and mentoring programs/materials to support knowledge management efforts. Ensure ability to work with and be supported by other senior engineers for guidance and to act as electrical lead or project lead. Communicate effectively, prioritize and meet deadlines, manage project scope, schedule, and budget, and travel domestically and internationally as required. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. Professional Engineer license with the ability to be licensed in multiple states. Knowledge and experience with federal government projects, including UFC, UFGS, NEC, and ICC standards. Fifteen plus (15+) years of applicable experience in the design and specification of low and medium-voltage power distribution systems and lighting systems for federal buildings, industrial buildings, and site distribution. Specific knowledge of switchgear and substation design. Ability to self-perform all electrical engineering tasks: proposal, design, calculations, cost estimating, client reviews, and construction support; ability to coordinate with other discipline leads and teams. Ability to mentor junior or mid-level electrical engineers and designers. Excellent oral and written communication skills; willingness to travel; able to work in a customer-focused, project-oriented environment. Must be a US Citizen. Desired Education/Experience

Experience designing to NAVFAC and USACE design standards. SpecsIntact specification authoring and editing experience. Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance. Experience with mission-critical infrastructure projects. Solid foundation in CAD/BIM software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation. Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year.
