District Support Pharmacist - Part Time

as a District Support Pharmacist. You will support pharmacy teams across multiple stores, fill scheduling gaps, and ensure safe, accurate dispensing and patient care.
Responsibilities
Live CVS’s purpose by managing patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices.
Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts, serve as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts, and oversee pharmacy operations.
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and directing the team to follow guardrails.
Assume Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when the only or primary pharmacist‑on‑duty.
Contribute to positive patient experiences by coaching empathy, collaborating with the healthcare team, and resolving insurance or medication issues.
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, supporting Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize.
Support effective inventory management, protecting cold‑chain products and following best practices.
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic.
Maintain clinical and technical skills through required trainings, CMEs, and continuous learning.
Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist‑delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services where permissible.
Understand and comply with federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and ethical principles to ensure patient safety and a safe workplace.
Required Qualifications
Active pharmacist license in the state where the store is located.
Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
Preferred Qualifications
1–2 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
