Essential duties and responsibilities for the Leasing Consultant role include all aspects of leasing, marketing, and maintaining positive resident relations of a property.
Responsibilities
Property leasing and administration
Regular/daily onsite attendance is required
Show, lease, and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour the community, and sign leases
Close sales by making appointments, generating new leads, conducting tours, maintaining model units, and following up as needed
Complete all leasing paperwork before move-in
Assist with lease audits, unit walkthroughs, and turnover processes
Maintain accurate prospect traffic and leasing data; respond to prospect leads within 24 hours
Utilize established sales and marketing strategies to increase traffic and achieve leasing goals
Perform administrative tasks as needed
Address resident complaints, concerns, and requests to ensure satisfaction
Assist in developing resident retention programs (e.g., events, promotions, newsletters)
Support general upkeep of office, common areas, and model
Marketing & Outreach: assist in implementing annual marketing plan outreach and market analysis to generate ideas
Maintain product knowledge of the property, competition, and market conditions; complete weekly market survey
Customer & Resident Relations: deliver excellent service and monitor response times
Maintain consistent communication with residents and enforce community policies as directed
Education/Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions; basic computer skills required
Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
Physical Requirements
Regular movement to perform duties and communicate with others; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs
Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, and other structures; work in various environments including outdoor conditions and tight spaces
Compensation & Benefits Salary Range:
$16 per hour to $18 per hour .
