Provide best-in-class guest service: promptly greet guests; respond to guest questions/concerns quickly, effectively, and courteously; assist guests with meeting their video gaming needs; inform guests of special promotions; recommend additional items as appropriate; apply all selling behaviors during every transaction and thank every guest for shopping at GameStop; prioritize guests over tasks and circulate throughout the store. Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and customer relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately, including handling changes, providing receipts, and ensuring high-quality guest service. Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards loyalty). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations for store associates and training them on company/store policies, procedures, practices, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed; ensure alignment with guest service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document performance in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, job training, and compliance training for associates prior to opening/closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule store associates, manage breaks and meals, supervise staffing levels to maintain guest service, and ensure high-quality service. Approve payroll, manage time off requests, and verify pay for time worked. Keep store areas clean, organized, and merchandised per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices; conduct bag checks at closing as appropriate and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete administrative duties. Conduct store inventory counts, stock/restock, and organize products on the floor; ensure products are represented and alphabetized. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits per guidelines. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct counts/inventories and report discrepancies to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; ensure labeling and packing lists are correct. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files; ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all company policies and procedures and opening/closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Work independently and within a team; perform tasks in a timely manner. Maintain attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace standards. Operate POS system; basic mathematics and alphabetizing skills. Complete required paperwork properly; follow written, oral, or diagram instructions. Flexible schedule, including extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Resilient under pressure; problem-solver with a customer-focused mindset. Reliable and trustworthy with good judgment. Able to stand and move for extended periods; lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed. Onboarding knowledge of military ranks (where applicable). $10.75 - $14.75 per hour
