Government and Public Sector - FAAS - Senior Manager at EY. The Government & Public Sector-Financial Accounting Advisory Services (GPS-FAAS) team is growing, and as a Senior Manager you’ll play a key role in that growth. You’ll work across Federal GPS sector service lines, develop strategic goals, and deliver an exceptional client experience by understanding client needs and providing tailored recommendations. Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with audit client personnel; assess client satisfaction and maintain contact throughout the year. Direct field work, inform supervisors of engagement status, and manage assurance staff performance. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations. Develop people by delegating audit tasks and providing guidance to assurance staff; provide performance feedback, training and reviews. Contribute ideas to assurance teams and encourage input from other team members. Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented work environment; use technology to learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery. Develop understanding of EY service lines and encourage contributions of ideas to apply firm services. Collaborate with colleagues across multiple service lines; travel to meet with key clients as required. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business with 7 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience with Federal US GAAP. U.S. CPA license in your work state. Excellent project management, communication and negotiation skills; collaborative management approach. Proven record of mentoring and improving a team of high-performing colleagues; strong teamwork and leadership dedication. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Due to government work, travel to client, EY, or contractor sites may be required; travel expected average 25% to 30% or more in a hybrid environment. Preferred
