Overview

Government and Public Sector - FAAS - Senior Manager at EY. This role supports the Government & Public Sector-Financial Accounting Advisory Services (GPS-FAAS) team across Federal GPS sector service lines, focusing on delivering strategic goals, client listening, and providing exceptional service in a field with no off-the-shelf recommendations. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain strong, productive relationships with audit client personnel and proactively maintain contact throughout the year. Direct field work, inform supervisors of engagement status, and manage assurance staff performance. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts and apply them to client situations. Develop people by delegating tasks and providing guidance to assurance staff; provide performance feedback and performance reviews. Contribute ideas to assurance teams and listen to other team members’ views; foster an efficient, innovative, and team-oriented work environment. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge, and enhance service delivery. Collaborate across multiple service lines and build client relationships to identify opportunities to apply the firm’s services. Travel regularly to meet with key clients, including some in highly regarded organizations. Develop an understanding of EY’s service lines and encourage contribution from assurance team members. Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business; 7+ years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience with Federal US GAAP. U.S. CPA license in the work state. Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills; collaborative management approach. Proven track record of mentoring and improving a high-performing team; dedication to teamwork and leadership; integrity in a professional environment. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Willingness to travel 25–30% or more in a hybrid environment; travel may be to client, EY, or contractor sites. Ideal/Preferred
