Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions and concerns promptly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend items, and acknowledge every guest during transactions. Support the shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns using the POS system accurately, including changes, receipts, and ensuring quality guest service. Respond to guest feedback in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits, such as new title reservations, trade-ins, and Pro Rewards. Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on policies, procedures, and guidelines. Monitor associate performance, provide feedback, and address issues to align with service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to associates and document performance data in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance for associates prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethics. Schedule associates to meet staffing needs and maintain optimal guest service; supervise as needed in the Store Manager’s absence. Approve payroll, manage time off, and verify pay for staff. Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per guidelines; ensure fixtures and equipment are in working order. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing or end of shifts as appropriate and report concerns to the Store Manager. Support sales, profit, and shrink goals and perform required administrative tasks. Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Count, balance, and reconcile daily transaction totals in the POS; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies, record variances, and communicate with management; conduct inventories and communicate discrepancies to leadership. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls; label boxes properly with packing lists. Maintain guest and associate safety; report injuries per guidelines. Maintain store records/files neatly; keep manuals up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and follow opening/closing procedures. Qualifications
Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine and individualized assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet objectives. Work independently and in a team; perform tasks in a timely manner. Meet performance expectations for attendance, appearance, safety, and respectful workplace. Operate the POS system and basic math skills; complete paperwork accurately. Follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form; execute financial tasks per policy. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Handle pressure, problem-solve, and maintain guest interactions. Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work alone; stand and move for long periods. Physical ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, climb, and lift up to 30 lbs. Benefits
