Full Time Assistant Store Manager (Store 6562) at GameStop. This role supports the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and helps drive a sales culture by providing outstanding guest service and product knowledge. Responsibilities

Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions and concerns promptly and courteously, assist with gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, recommend additional items, and circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks. Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationship-building that leads to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases/returns accurately using the POS system, including handling changes, providing receipts, and ensuring high-quality guest service. Respond to guest questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate. Promote GameStop benefits (e.g., new title reservations, trade-in program, Pro Rewards). Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates in policies, procedures, and guidelines. Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed; align staff with service expectations. Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document written feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager. Ensure onboarding, training, and compliance knowledge for associates prior to opening/closing shifts; understand policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, financial protocol, and ethical responsibilities. Schedule store associates following guidelines; manage staffing levels to maintain exceptional guest service. Approve payroll, manage paid time off requests, and verify time worked. Ensure store areas are clean, organized, and merchandised; maintain proper functioning of fixtures and equipment. Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily. Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices; inspect packages during closing or shift transitions and communicate concerns to the Store Manager. Support the store team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals; complete administrative and operational duties. Conduct inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized on the sales floor. Balance and reconcile daily transaction totals; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits as required. Verify shipments for discrepancies; conduct inventories and communicate discrepancies to management. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists. Maintain safety awareness; report injuries and hazards per company guidelines. Help maintain neat store records and ensure manuals are up to date. Supervise and delegate tasks to sales associates and keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager. Adhere to all GameStop policies and procedures, including those in the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct. Adhere to opening and closing procedures. Qualifications

Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred. At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred. At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Key Skills and Abilities

Outgoing, welcoming personality with strong people skills. Provide genuine, individualized assistance to every guest during every visit. Clear verbal/written communication and listening skills; English required; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to meet objectives in a fast-paced environment; work independently and in a team. Strong attendance, professionalism, safety awareness, and respectful workplace behavior. Operate POS system and perform basic math and alphabetizing. Complete required paperwork accurately and follow instructions as provided. Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Manage pressure, adapt to change, be a problem solver, and maintain reliability and good judgment. Ability to work alone or move around the store for extended periods; physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and reach heights as needed. Onboarding knowledge of duties for positions on military bases (where applicable). Pay: $19.25 - $23.25 per hour.
