Position Summary
Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and maintaining in-stock inventory levels. Manages budgeting and forecasting sales, assessing economic trends, and community needs. Models, enforces, and provides guidance to Associates on proper customer/member service approaches and techniques to ensure needs and issues are resolved within company standards. Oversees community outreach programs and encourages associates to serve as good community members. Ensures compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports, implementing safety and asset protection controls, and developing performance improvement plans. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition. Ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with customers, selecting products based on their needs, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining optical equipment. Upholds company policies and fosters a workplace of belonging and respect, embracing diversity, integrity, and excellence. Delivers results with a focus on customer service, data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and adherence to ethical standards. Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience OR 2 years of general work experience including 1 year optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws. Preferred Qualifications
