Executive Director, Corporate Strategy at Bristol Myers Squibb Position Summary The Executive Director of Corporate Strategy will be responsible for leading key strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects in collaboration with key stakeholders across the enterprise. This leadership role requires a blend of strategic vision, strategy development experience, and operational experience alongside exceptional leadership, communication and influence skills. Reporting directly into the EVP, Corporate Strategy, this executive will be responsible for executing a diverse set of projects and analyses to drive business decisions and strategic initiatives across the BMS enterprise. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Lead key strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects as part of the overall enterprise-level effort. Articulate strategic plans and decisions to all levels of the organization, fostering transparency and accountability.

Decision Making: Be accountable for rapid and effective decisions aligned with BMS's strategic initiatives; clearly communicate the rationale behind choices.

Market Research: Analyze and synthesize market trends and the competitive/external landscape to inform strategic direction.

Collaboration: Foster strong collaborative relationships across enterprise functions and leadership to execute the portfolio of strategic projects; prepare for senior management reviews and deliver strategy presentations to senior leadership and governance teams.

Operational Oversight: Oversee operational aspects of strategy implementation, coordinating with staff to ensure plans are executed efficiently.

Risk Management: Assess risks with respect to strategic decisions, adhere to policies, and apply ethical judgment; partner with ERM to identify and address risks through strategic initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors required; MBA preferred

15+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, including 2+ years in strategic planning, strategy development or related areas (e.g., strategy consulting)

Strong problem solving and analytical skills; ability to structure business problems, interpret data to identify insights, and inform recommendations; leverage matrix partners

Proven track record of driving performance within a matrix organization

Ability to prioritize work with autonomy, balance multiple major initiatives, and drive results with speed

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact with senior-level executives

Compensation & Benefits The starting compensation range is listed above for full-time employees (FTE). Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. Final compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience. Benefits vary by location and role and may include medical, pharmacy, dental and vision care, wellbeing programs, 401(k) and other protections.
