Job Overview As a Cosmetic Sales Colleague, also known as a Beauty Advisor, you are the trusted expert customers turn to for beauty products. You will create a personalized and inspiring shopping experience, build confidence in customers, and drive sales. You will educate customers, conduct product demonstrations, and provide tailored consultations that may include makeup application and skincare recommendations. You will grow and manage a loyal client base through follow-up, outreach, and personalized service, with the goal of exceeding expectations and achieving sales goals. You will combine hospitality, product knowledge, and passion for beauty to help customers leave feeling confident and cared for.
Responsibilities
Educate customers on beauty products, conduct product demonstrations, and provide tailored consultations.
Offer makeup applications and skincare recommendations aligned with customer needs and style.
Build and manage a loyal client base through follow-up, virtual outreach, and personalized service.
Engage with customers to create a welcoming shopping experience and drive sales.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor and ensure accurate signage and pricing.
Communicate product knowledge and promotions to customers and team members.
Strive to exceed sales goals and deliver exceptional service to every customer.
Qualifications
Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with dependable attendance and punctuality.
Strong communication skills with customers, co-workers, and supervisors; ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English.
Ability to deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, and educating on product benefits and usage.
Experience in driving sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized, shoppable space and participating in events and training.
Achievement of daily sales goals through exceptional service.
Ability to acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
Proficiency with point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions.
At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience required.
Essential Physical Requirements
Talking, lifting, constant movement, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
Standing for at least two consecutive hours; lifting at least 25 lbs; stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, reaching (including above eye level).
Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Frequent use of computers and handheld equipment; ability to process transactions.
