The Department of Epidemiology is seeking a Research Assistant (RA) to support the day-to-day operations of the Pregnancy Study Online (PRESTO) at the Boston University School of Public Health. Responsibilities
Manage all contacts with study subjects; trace lost subjects; coordinate participant compensation; oversee biospecimen collection kit and shipment supplies; monitor success of advertising; update the study website; perform quality control; perform literature reviews; assist with mailings and subject tracking for validation study and sub studies (E-PRESTO, home pregnancy tests, semen collection); monitor biospecimen collection and coordinate sample shipments; oversee the organization and storage of biospecimen samples in PRESTO freezers; organize research meetings, draft meeting minutes; maintain up-to-date IRB applications and study protocols; and draft grant progress reports. Assist Principal Investigators with basic administrative tasks, including booking of travel, processing of travel and meeting expenses, grant writing, conference preparation, and manuscript submission. This is an in-person (on-site) position. Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience and proficiency in Word, Access, and Excel is required. A background in the natural sciences (e.g., biology, chemistry) or public health is strongly preferred. Equal Opportunity
