Tasting Room Expo
The Hospitality Manager at Comstock Wines is a leadership role that plays a critical part in all customer service experiences, team management, and operational aspects of hospitality. The Hospitality Manager is responsible for driving revenue and delivering the tasting room’s sales and club acquisition goals while providing best‑of‑class guest service. In addition to proven sales skills, responsibilities include the following: direct, develop, and mentor your team; build outreach relationships to garner guest referrals; oversee all operational policies and procedures to ensure a smooth‑running department; manage inventory; and exhibit stellar customer service skills to maintain Comstock’s reputation. The Hospitality Manager will be part of our floor staff, leading tastings and customer interactions.
The position is FT, with a full benefits package offered. Compensation is competitive and includes commissions and bonuses. This position requires availability to work weekends, special events, and some evenings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage TOCK Reservations system: schedule experiences, manage guest confirmations, comments, and notes
Oversee Tasting Room Preparation/Operation (opening and closing procedures, which include printing menus, organizing the room inside and out, opening/preparing wines, opening/closing cash drawer, room maintenance and appearance, and monitoring daily pours/wine management)
Manage the Preparation of food service items as needed/coordinate with culinary partners
Tasting Room scheduling: Properly staff for daily tastings and events
Assist as needed with special events and marketing (social media)
Schedule and conduct outreach for all staff members
Provide exemplary customer service
Conduct daily tastings
Work with General Manager / Wine Club Manager to develop and execute on‑site events (including but not limited to industry, public, and club events)
Work with individual guests/field inquiries to execute private on‑site events.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Monitor/maintain wine inventory on site
Creating unique selling opportunities for customers and executing them
Work with GM to develop and implement new tasting/winery experiences
Outreach to customers for specific sales directives (Email/Phone)
Ongoing training opportunities for staff
Notify the General Manager of any required maintenance for general upkeep of the hospitality facilities, equipment, and auxiliary spaces.
Other duties as directed by the General Manager.

California Managing Responsible Alcohol Servers
HOURS
Full‑Time, Weekends, and some Holidays required
