We’re looking for a
dependable and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk
to join our team in Austin. In this role, you’ll serve as a key point of accountability for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that all agency equipment and supplies are properly tracked, organized, and accounted for. Your work will directly support the efficiency and reliability of daily operations across multiple departments.
Major Duties Inventory Management
Oversee and maintain all agency inventory and equipment with accuracy and accountability.
Perform regular cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Organize and label inventory for efficient access and tracking.
Maintain clean, orderly, and optimized storage areas.
Data Entry & Recordkeeping
Accurately enter and update inventory data, including item descriptions, serial numbers, and locations.
Conduct periodic audits and reconcile any data inconsistencies.
Maintain real‑time, audit‑ready records across systems.
Inventory Monitoring
Monitor supply levels and recommend timely restocking or redistribution.
Track equipment usage and assist with decommissioning or disposal processes.
Support procurement and logistics teams by providing accurate, timely information.
Reporting & Collaboration
Generate routine reports detailing inventory levels, usage trends, and order activity.
Partner with internal departments to support operational needs and equipment requests.
Maintain documentation that meets compliance and audit standards.
What We’re Looking For
Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
Hands‑on experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Reliable, self‑driven, and able to work independently.
Experience in government or large organization.
Proficiency with inventory tracking systems and software.
A proactive mindset with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

Rate: $20.00/hour
Length of Engagement: ASAP – 12/31/25
Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
