About the Opportunity
A growing, people-focused organization in Orlando is seeking an experienced
HR Generalist
to join its team. This is a hands-on, multifaceted role responsible for managing payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance - all while helping foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. The ideal candidate is an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys taking ownership of a wide range of HR functions to support both employees and leadership.
Key Responsibilities of the HR Generalist
Administer weekly payroll processing with accuracy and compliance with wage and hour regulations
Maintain payroll records and prepare reports related to deductions, taxes, and other payroll components
Coordinate and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)
Serve as the primary contact for employee benefit questions, enrollments, and issue resolution
Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and managers
Assist in handling employee relations matters with fairness, confidentiality, and professionalism
Manage onboarding, offboarding, and new hire orientation to ensure a seamless employee experience
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation
Support HR initiatives related to performance management, engagement, and training
Partner with leadership to improve HR processes and promote a strong, people-first culture
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
4+ years of experience in HR generalist or HR administration roles
Hands-on experience with payroll processing and benefits administration
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance standards
Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., BambooHR, ADP, or similar platforms)
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
Experience supporting both office and field-based employees
