The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the maintenance department. This includes the upkeep of manufacturing assets, managing the maintenance budget and resources, leading a team of maintenance technicians, and assisting in the design and installation of new systems and equipment. This position focuses on both mechanical and electrical systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). What You’ll Do
Oversee, manage, and direct all maintenance procedures and operations. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in metal fabrication equipment and develop effective solutions. Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs to enhance automation and manufacturing efficiency. Strive to meet or exceed customer service standards by ensuring prompt and accurate completion of service requests. Manage the maintenance budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-effective solutions without compromising quality and safety. Evaluate systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repair needs; assess building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and reduce repair costs. Coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of spare parts and equipment for repairs and maintenance activities. Maintain and update maintenance logs, records, and reports to document activities and ensure regulatory compliance. Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support; organize and oversee staff schedules; conduct timely performance evaluations. Coordinate work performed by contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants. Promote good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures; comply with all policies, SOPs, MOPs, JSAs, and Safety Manual. Maintain awareness of individual contribution to quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance; report quality issues and unsafe conditions as required. Additional Expectations
Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies, including the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy. Ensure duties related to product compliance align with the Product Compliance Policy, laws, regulations, and market demands. Responsible for tasks to achieve compliance goals within the Compliance Management System; raise concerns through appropriate channels. What You’ll Bring
At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and PLC programming. Experience with CNC machines, welding equipment, and metal cutting tools. Familiarity with maintenance software (CMMS). Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and managerial attributes; ability to work in a team and interface with a diverse workforce. Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
