Commodity Manager (H/F) - SAFRAN SEATS USA LLC

Mission As a member of Safran Seats, you will coordinate purchases for one or more commodities, ensuring the development of targeted purchasing policies that meet the needs of internal customers and support the company’s continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate, draft, and propose the target purchasing policy for commodities in accordance with company objectives.
Manage the supplier selection process, including invitations to tender and evaluation.
Negotiate and draft contracts with selected suppliers.
Maintain and manage the supplier panel and relationships.
Report procurement results to the purchasing department and the lead family buyer.
Ensure compliance with Safran’s policies, laws, and regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field, or six years of equivalent experience.
Eight (8) years of progressive procurement or sourcing experience with direct spend in specified commodities.
Strong knowledge of supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost analysis.
Experience in purchasing, supply chain, quality, configuration, and project management.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
Highly organized, goal‑oriented, and able to work under close supervision.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and procurement ERP systems such as MAPICS or Powerlink.
Desirable
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Advanced degree or certifications such as PMP, CSCP/CPM, or Green Belt.
Experience with textile or cushion commodities.
