invites applications for a full‑time, 9‑month, non‑tenure track teaching faculty member (Assistant Professor in Residence) to begin Fall 2026.
Job Description The Department of Psychology seeks a candidate dedicated to undergraduate education who will develop and instruct courses across our traditional and online degree programs. Responsibilities include teaching foundational, introductory, and upper‑division courses in psychology, neuroscience, and related areas, with an emphasis on topics such as forensic psychology, children’s mental health, and capstone projects.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver undergraduate courses in psychology and neuroscience for both on‑campus and online students.
Plan, design, and assess course material, aligning with program objectives.
Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development, and academic advising.
Collaborate with program coordinators for assessment and quality control.
Engage in scholarly activity and pursue professional development opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. in psychology or a related field from an accredited institution, or ABD (an advanced doctoral candidate).
Commitment to undergraduate teaching and substantial teaching experience, including online instruction.
Credentials must be in place before the start date.
Willingness to work with a program coordinator for assessment and quality control.
