What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
Improve the accuracy of facility outpatient clinical documentation coding and charging
Educate clinical departments and coding staff on documentation practices
Support root cause correction for accurate charging and coding compliance
Assist clinical areas in effectively documenting services
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive health information
What is Required (Qualifications):
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
CPC-Certified Professional Coder, COC-Certified Outpatient Coder, RHIA, or RHIT certification
Minimum of 5 years of recent relevant experience
In‑depth knowledge of medical terminology, coding processes, and billing functions
Strong project management and interpersonal skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience with electronic medical records (EPIC preferred)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with government and commercial payer requirements
Strong problem‑solving and investigative skills
