Lead Instructional Coach, Alpha – $200,000/year USD Base pay: $200,000 annual salary, weekly pay, full health benefits from day one, HSA/FSA options, 401(k) Roth, relocation assistance available.

On-site placement in Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Seattle, WA; or CA: East Bay (San Francisco), Palo Alto, Santa Monica, or Los Angeles.

Alpha is transforming the traditional school experience. Your role is to ensure our “3 Promises” are realized for every student in your cohort while coaching our Guides to deliver the same outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

Coaching and upskilling Guides to facilitate Alpha’s workshops at world-class standards.

Building comprehensive Guide Playbooks that document facilitation best practices, designing engaging learning experiences, and addressing obstacles.

Delivering consistent, targeted feedback to Guides that drives student engagement and performance.

Personally mentoring a select cohort of students, demonstrating advanced coaching and motivational techniques.

What You Won’t Be Doing

Creating lesson plans – Guides enable student learning via adaptive platforms; your priority is training them to become exceptional motivators.

Compromising standards – when our mastery threshold is 100%, your responsibility is upholding that expectation.

Running dull training sessions – you’ll develop Guides through dynamic, energized, experiential learning.

Key Responsibilities Develop Guides and students so that every learner in your cohort experiences genuine enthusiasm for school, achieves learning velocity at 2× standard pace, and gains proficiency in essential life skills. Zero exceptions.

Basic Requirements

Currently based in or prepared to relocate for on-site work at one of Alpha’s campuses (listed above).

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or comparable field.

Proven track record of designing and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training systems.

Exceptional leadership and mentorship capabilities with demonstrated ability to develop, lead, and inspire high-performing teams.

Background working with young people (ages 5-18) in educational or developmental settings.

Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data and metrics to inform decisions and drive ongoing improvement.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.
