Lead Instructional Coach, Alpha - $200,000/year USD Alpha is transforming the traditional school experience. Our students accelerate through adaptive applications, master content in half the time, and develop practical life competencies. As Lead Instructional Coach, you ensure the "3 Promises" are delivered to every student in your cohort while coaching our Guides to replicate that success.

Compensation & Benefits Base pay: $200,000 per year, paid weekly. Health benefits start day one, plus HSA/FSA and 401(k) Roth options. Relocation assistance provided for qualifying candidates.

Responsibilities

Develop and train Guides to deliver Alpha’s workshops with exceptional quality.

Create Guide Playbooks documenting facilitation best practices, effective learning activity design, and challenge resolution.

Deliver consistent, actionable feedback to Guides that drives student engagement and academic success.

Personally coach a small student cohort, demonstrating advanced mentorship and motivational techniques.

Creating lesson plans – Guides facilitate student learning via adaptive applications; your role is training them to become outstanding motivators.

Compromising expectations – when our success benchmark is 100%, you uphold that standard.

Running dull training sessions – you will develop Guides through dynamic, energizing, experiential learning.

Qualifications

Currently based in or willing to relocate for on‑site work at one of the Alpha campuses (Bethesda, MD; Boston, MA; Chicago, IL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Seattle, WA; or CA: East Bay (San Francisco), Palo Alto, Santa Monica, or Los Angeles).

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related area.

Proven track record developing and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training initiatives.

Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities with experience building, managing, and inspiring high‑performing teams.

Background working with youth (ages 5‑18) in educational or developmental settings.

Skilled in data analysis and leveraging metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.

Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Work Arrangement Full‑time (40 hrs per week), long‑term position. Requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. Compensation is $100 USD per hour, equivalent to $200,000 USD per year, paid weekly.
