Order Picker

Job Summary:
Seeking an meticulous Order Picker to join our bustling New York City warehouse! In this critical position, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering items from our shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed will directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations. You'll work within a dynamic team environment, utilizing scanning technology and other tools to ensure the right products are picked for the right orders, every time. This role demands physical stamina and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or scanning devices.
• Locate items in the warehouse efficiently, ensuring correct product and quantity.
• Pack picked items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
• Verify order accuracy before preparing for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station and surrounding warehouse area.
• Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks for moving goods.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
• Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
• Must be capable of frequent lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and gloves.
• Familiarity with warehouse logistics is a plus.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety.
