The Order Picker will be responsible for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders by selecting the correct items from warehouse shelves. This role is crucial to our supply chain operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing a range of equipment and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner or pick sheet.
- Locate and retrieve products from various warehouse locations.
- Verify item numbers and quantities against order details.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those regarding PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and stock checks.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to safety and following all guidelines for personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is beneficial.
