Job Summary:
Seeking a dynamic Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role is central to the efficient flow of goods within our facility, overseeing both inbound and outbound logistics. You will be responsible for managing inventory, processing shipments, and maintaining organized records. The ideal candidate possesses excellent organizational abilities, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and a unwavering commitment to safety. This position requires physical activity, including frequent Lifting, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments, verifying contents against orders.
  • Process and prepare all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and maintain organized storage.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and shipments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors/carriers.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements related to safety and logistics.
  • Perform tasks requiring significant physical exertion, including regular Lifting of goods up to 50 pounds.
  • Proper use of PPE is mandatory at all times.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform frequent Lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and knowledge of proper PPE usage.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
