Order Picker

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order slips.
• Use of handheld scanners to track inventory and update order status.
• Ensure picked items are correctly identified and match order specifications.
• Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
• Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately.
• Meet or exceed established picking productivity targets.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to safety and PPE.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including stocking and cycle counts.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively.
• Comfortable using warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles is beneficial.
• Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to logistics best practices.
