Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments accurately.
- Verify the contents of incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
- Prepare goods for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (certification may be required).
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Ensure the shipping and receiving area is clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Identify and report any damages or discrepancies.
- Support overall logistics and warehouse management goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving or a similar warehouse role.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Physical stamina to handle frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
