Mechanical HVAC Engineer – Data Center

Base Pay Range $102,900.00/yr – $141,500.00/yr
Location United States (any location, ideally near a Jacobs U.S. office)
Responsibilities
Design HVAC systems for electric vehicle, data center, and heavy industrial facilities.
Develop design criteria for general comfort, temperature‐controlled, pressurization, and clean room applications.
Create conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents—including calculations, P&IDs, piping layouts, and construction drawings.
Layout ductwork systems based on P&IDs.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and external vendors.
Ensure project schedule and technical quality meet client expectations.
Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of HVAC design experience.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
Adaptability to fast‑paced, multiple‑deadline environments.
Collaborate remotely with building mechanical lead and other discipline team members.
Preferred Experience
Professional Engineering license.
Software proficiency: Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, Trane Trace 3D.
Plumbing/utility system design experience.
