Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients as part of their healthcare routine or for critical health insights.
- The PSR II is responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens, preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with established standards.
- This role requires direct patient interaction while maintaining trust, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Assignments may include doctor s offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures post-venipuncture to ensure correct specimen labeling.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
- Demonstrate strong organizational commitment and adherence to process excellence standards.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as required.
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and sound judgment.
- Reliable transportation with a valid driver s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to travel and cover multiple Patient Service Center and in-office locations with minimal notice.
- Strong customer focus with clear, professional communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Commitment to company policies, dress code, safety, and compliance standards.
- 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred.
- Keyboard and data entry experience required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to change and work flexible schedules.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
