Quality Engineer | Mason, MI Salary Range:

The Opportunity We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Mason that are seeking skilled Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and inspection procedures.

Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools for process monitoring and improvement.

Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).

Manage supplier quality performance, including evaluations, audits, and defect resolution.

Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring quality requirements are met from design to launch.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in core quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, SPC, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, 8D).

Solid understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).

Demonstrated experience with statistical process control and data analysis for continuous improvement.

Ability to lead problem-solving initiatives and drive corrective and preventive actions.

Bonus Qualifications

ASQ Certified Quality Black Belt (CQBB) or equivalent Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and/or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Certified Internal or Lead Auditor for industry-specific QMS standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 13485, AS9100)

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) or SQL for advanced data analysis and automation
