Director of Staffing @ Green Key | Recruitment Expert Key Responsibilities
Execute daily accounting activities, including journal entries, bank and trust/IOLA reconciliations, AP/AR processing, and upkeep of the general ledger.
Oversee the full accounts payable workflow, ensuring proper coding, timely vendor payments, and accurate supporting documentation.
Manage accounts receivable functions, including posting client payments, reviewing aging reports, and conducting collection outreach.
Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare reconciliations, schedules, and other documentation required for month-end closing.
Analyze financial trends and variances to identify opportunities for process improvements or cost efficiencies.
Collaborate closely with the CFO/Controller, billing team, and administrative departments to support firm-wide financial objectives.
Provide mentorship and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
Assist with the end-to-end billing cycle, including pre-bill reviews, revisions, finalization, matter adjustments, and expense reconciliation.
Work directly with attorneys and internal teams to address billing issues, enhance workflows, and maintain timely billing cycles.
Monitor WIP, unbilled expenses, and matter-specific financial activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
Proficiency with accounting platforms and practice management software.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growing organization.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
High level of integrity, sound judgment, and dependability.
