Colorado Department of Revenue This is a 100% in‑person position scheduled Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM at the Robert Hawkins Building, Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo. The Hospital Operations Department oversees furniture, fixtures, equipment (FFE), space utilization, procurement, printing operations, risk management, mailroom, and overall building management. Purpose of Position

This role develops policies and procedures, manages day‑to‑day operations, directs resources, provides budget recommendations, and prioritizes risk management related to the Robert Hawkins Building. The building manager acts as liaison between the Department of Public Safety (DPS), Division of Facilities Management (DFM), Nutrition Services, Safety and Risk Management, treatment units, and clinical departments. Responsibilities

Ensure patient and public safety through ongoing assessment of risk factors. Manage personal duress alarms and access authorization of electronic key and prox‑card systems. Identify and resolve building safety and security issues with Program Directors and others. Coordinate unit patient movement during building repairs or maintenance. Review critical incident reports related to building safety and clinical risk indicators. Conduct monthly security searches of visitation, dining, interview, courtroom, and spiritual care areas. Review and initiate all special maintenance requests for the building. Serve as liaison to Facilities Management and Safety Risk Management for key allocation, work orders, repairs, and office moves. Oversee FFE repairs, replacements, and new acquisitions. Coordinate special activity set‑ups and take‑downs; work with Nutrition Services on dining room equipment needs. Conduct daily walkthroughs of the building to evaluate conditions. Facilitate building operations meetings each other month. Maintain daily contact with CMHIP Department of Public Safety and unit teams regarding supply approvals and personal property. Coordinate and conduct training and new employee orientation on key and prox‑card systems, key retainer boxes, personal duress alarms, duress lightbars, emergency equipment, and evacuation procedures. Provide tours of the facility to acquaint people with CMHIP’s mission and reduce stigma. Perform other duties as assigned by senior management. Minimum Qualifications

Seven (7) years of relevant experience in a related occupation, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years. Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing building or facility operations, including FFE, space utilization, procurement, and administrative workflows. Ability to develop and implement policies and prioritize risk management needs. Effective communication and collaboration with partners such as Public Safety, Facilities Management, Nutrition Services, and clinical departments. Strong problem‑solving skills, budget awareness, and capability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast‑paced hospital environment. Conditions of Employment

Standard background checks (CBI name check, ICON Colorado court database, Medicare fraud database, reference checks). Must be a Colorado resident at the time of application and throughout employment. Complete all CMHIP New Employee Orientation modules and Defensive Tactics training. Meet physical requirements for defensive tactics and safety duties.
